Takes On ThinkTank (ShareASaleThinkTank 2018 Recap)

2592 Views attended the 2018 ShareASale ThinkTank earlier this month, and to say the least, it was a success! The “Dream Team”, which consisted of Karen Tabbert (Senior Director, Affiliate Marketing), Kelsi Snyder (Strategic Account Manager), and Ali Patterson (Business Development Manager), headed to The Westin Chicago River North for two days of education, program guidance, and quality networking with top partners on ShareASale and Awin.” (ShareASale ThinkTank)

This was the first conference since was acquired in January 2017 by Awin. It’s obvious how well the teams work together and how complementary their customer bases are so there’s something for all levels of merchants or agencies. The biggest takeaways from the sessions included “Advertising Law 101,” presented by Gary Kibel, which focused on FTC and GDPR compliance, and the Q&A Panel, hosted by Rachel Honoway, which featured affiliates, merchants, and an agency who answered questions from the viewpoint of their respective field of expertise.

One of the benefits of a smaller, relationship-oriented event is that it permitted us plenty of time to put a ‘face to a name’, meet new bloggers, and solidify our current affiliate partnerships. We chaired a dedicated table and benefited from 5 hours of  scheduled and spontaneous meetings with other attendees.

It wasn’t all work (we all know what that does to Jack). The two days were peppered with a few social gatherings, including an afterparty where we kicked back with decadent desserts, drinks and boardgames!

All in all, ThinkTank 2018 was a well-organized and beneficial event, and we’re looking forward to the next one!
